March Walk

I swear the little hill leading up to our house is turning into a not so little hill anymore. It's getting steeper and steeper... Ok, maybe it's just the kids getting really heavy. Either way, I feel like it's a good workout so I'm not seriously complaining. I probably will be complaining about it this summer when the weather is hot and Ellie is even heavier! Both kids really enjoy going for walks and the fresh air does everyone good. Here's Miss Ellie about 5 minutes after we came in the house. I put her on the floor, went to take Charlotte's jacket and hat off, turned around and this is what a saw. :)

Rewards and Big Girl Baths

Charlotte is doing extremely well with her potty training. She completed her second potty sticker chart and earned herself a trip to the "jumping mall" aka Pheasant Lane. She had a blast, she's such a little dare devil.

Ellie turned 7 months on Feb 28th. To celebrate the occasion, she took her first bath like a big girl. Charlotte got a real kick out of taking a bath with her sister.

At 7 months, Ellie's really getting around. She sits up really strong now and can almost get herself to sitting by herself. She's not officially crawling yet but sure figures out how to get where she wants to go. She rolls and scootches and before you know it, she's half way across the room. She loves to jump and I'm beginning to wonder if she'll just skip right over crawling and go right to running, her little legs are always moving. She still has the most pleasant disposition, always really happy. She'll talk back to you if you make noises at her. She's eating lots of different foods now too. She seems to enjoy eating just like her big sister. Her bottle is definitely her first love. She eats three 9 ounce bottles a day. She's also had bananas, apples, pears, carrots, green beans, pees, sweet potatoes, brown rice, oatmeal and rice cereal. All organic (I used all organic with Charlotte at this age as well). She's also started figure out how to eat Mum Mums (baby cookies that are basically air) and she's still working on using a sippy cup but will drink from it if I hold it up for her.

Charlotte's 3 Year Dr. Visit

We're so lucky to have 2 kids in perfect health. Charlotte just had her 3 year appt Friday and she did great. She's a big girl now and gets weighed on the big scale and measured on the tall post against the wall. She's 32 pounds (60th %) and 37 inches tall (50th %). She's come down on the curve, especially in height but according to the Dr, it's nothing to be concerned about. It's about this time that genetics start to kick in. She passed her 1st hearing test and vision test, which I knew she'd pass since she's already had a full eye exam with the eye doctor. She has a great vocabulary and her speech was excellent too. The one issue that was discovered is she has very flat feet. I guess this is hereditary and from what I can gather, it's on the Robichaud side as well as the Landrys. Stephe's mother has flat feet and some of my aunts and uncles and cousins do as well. I hope this doesn't bother her too much as she gets older. So far, she's never complained. Oh, and I guess it's a big deal that she knows how to pedal a tricycle. He couldn't believe it when I said she hopped on and started pedalling at 2. I guess that's something most kids do at 4 or 5? I don't know, that sounds late to me. All Charlotte's cousins also ride bikes.
