Labor Day

Last week Charlotte got a hair cut. She had one little trim a few months ago but this is the first haircut that actually kind of changed her look from baby to kid. I have to say she looks adorable! Here she is in the chair. She held that lollipop through the entire cut, she never licked it. I don't think she really understood what it was. :)

Yesterday, Mich and I took Hunter and Charlotte to the mall. The kids needed some fall clothes. Sounds like a fun day, right? Well Charlotte was not in the mood to shop and I'm pretty sure the whole mall knew it, I'm positive at least the Gap and Macy's were well aware. I thought I timed it perfectly so she would nap in the car on the way. She didn't stick to the plan though so she went in on no nap. Yikes!!! Mommy learned a big lesson about nap scheduling... If we're going to the playground on no nap, we're probably safe. But if she's going to be stuck in a stroller in a boring store, a nap is a necessity! Here's a picture of the girls on a ride in the food court. Her face tells the story. She's not screaming because she IS on a ride but she's not going to allow herself to have too much fun since she is still stuck inside.

That night I went to Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Doug's for a little pre-party party. They had a huge party planned for Labor Day and we crashed it early. I left Charlotte home with Daddy since she clearly needed to go to bed early. The other kids were all there though.
Monday was the big cookout. They had something planned for everyone! Tons of steamers, corn on the cob, chicken, burgers, dogs and the kids favorite... snow cones! Charlotte had her first snow cone. I ran to get my camera so I wouldn't miss the moment. Here's a clip: (Sorry about the shaky hands, I have to start paying attention to that when I make these clips.)

I think it's safe to say she liked it... Let me put it this way, I definitely didn't need to RUN for the camera, I could have caught the same footage many more times. Every time I turned around she had her face in a snow cone!! These were taken randomly throughout the party.

Cheering on the whiffle ball game

She had a lesson on how to make them
She even liked just stacking the cups
The sand table with green sand... Only at Aunt Phyllis'! :)
Drawing in the driveway

Swinging like a big girl

The adults played a whiffle ball game. It was quite funny!

The cheering section
