Ellie Belly Jelly Bean

Charlotte has given Ellie a new nickname - Ellie Belly Jelly Bean! And she says it in the squeeky high pitched tone that makes Ellie smile. I love watching the way the two of them interact.

Ellie turned 9 months old last week. It seems the time is flying even faster the second time around. At 9 months, Ellie is really getting the hang of mimicking people. She can clap, wave (she always waves with both hands at the same time), blow rasberries and say dadada all on command. She's still our laid-back back baby. Not crawling or even trying to crawl. She'll get where she wants by rolling around and pulling herself by her arms. I'm beginning to think she's really going to skip right over crawling all together. Stephe's mom said Stephe never really crawled but walked before his first birthday. We'll have to wait see if Ellie follows in Daddy's footsteps. She doesn't pull herself up to standing on her own but can stand holding on to things. Also, no sign of any teeth yet. This morning I had a memory of Charlotte and she didn't sleep through the night until she was 11 months old. I can't even picture still getting up in the night with Ellie since she's been sleeping through the night forever all ready. She sleeps roughly 12 hours every night and then a good 3 hour nap in the afternoon. Such a piece of cake! She also still loves her bottle but has started eating a little bit of table food. She'll eat anything you put in her mouth but is a little princess not really wanting to feed herself yet. We're working on it though.
