Cape Cod

The Landrys took a mini vacation to Cape Cod before the 4th of July. We had great weather and so much fun. We stayed at a Marriot hotel with an indoor pool. It was a only about 3 miles from Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dick. Here's a picture of their cottage. It's a perfect spot on a little private beach. We lugged all our beach stuff in on the first day and were able to keep everything on the side of their cottage. Everyday, all we had to show up with was ourselves and a diaper bag. We also set up a pack and play inside for Ellie's naps so we never even had to leave the beach. It was the most relaxing couple days....

We spent all day every day on the beach. Here we are the first day. This picture was probably taken after 5:00 that night.

Daddy and Charlotte playing in the water

Love this picture of Ellie

I buried Charlotte in the sand

Me and Ellie on her first time in the ocean. She wasn't crazy about it. After a few times of putting her in, she finally does like the water now.

Kids playing

Looking for crabs in the rocks

Charlotte and Grandma Sue on Albert, the blowup alligator. Ellie surprised Sue and I when she blurted out "Albert" crystal clear! :)

Ellie after eating a bowl of blueberries

My new favorite picture of my kids. We had dinner at the Dockside, it's an outdoor restaurant where you sit and watch the boats.

We took Charlotte mini-golfing for the first time. She had a good time and did really well!

Doesn't really know how to hold a club....

Daddy gives her a quick lesson.....

Not a lie -- she got a hole in one! She didn't even understand what happened. She just picked her ball up out of the hole and headed for the next, like it was no big deal. Stephe and my jaws hit the floor. :)

Ellie and Mommy just walked the course. I was going to play but Ellie's getting too tall for the bjorn and I couldn't hold the club and see over her head. Here you can see how tired she was, it was after her bed time.

I'm so glad that we had the opportunity to take this family vacation. Looking forward to many more!! Again, the girls were so well behaved and had such a great time that it makes it really fun for all of us to go and do things like this.
